Board of Directors

Front Runners Atlanta board is held by 100% volunteers on a 2 year term
(currently 2025-2026)

  • Originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, Ian moved to Atlanta for graduate school at Emory University after serving in the U.S. Peace Corps in Zambia, where he taught English language in addition to spearheading community health and food security initiatives. In his current role as Senior Advancement Officer for Public-Private Partnerships, Ian leads resource mobilization efforts to support critical public health efforts related to infectious diseases, including HIV/STI prevention.

  • Patric, who hails from Chicago, Illinois, moved to Georgia at a young age and pursued their education at the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!), earning a bachelor's degree in Ecology. Currently, Patric serves as a project coordinator at Emory University, where they manage various studies focused on innovative initiatives to boost vaccine uptake among the geriatric population in Atlanta.

As a trailblazer in the Atlanta community, Patric has proudly claimed victory in the overall nonbinary category of several racing events, including the prestigious Peachtree Road Race. Their commitment to creating an inclusive atmosphere is unwavering.

  • Phillip truly believes in the power of community and the sense of belonging that Front Runners provides. Front Runners Atlanta has played an integral role in his fitness journey, and it’s where he has found a community that values health, connection, and personal growth. Phillip wants to contribute to its continued success by helping streamline communication, improve organizational efficiency, and foster an inclusive environment where all members feel like they belong.

As our community grows, maintaining clear communication and cohesion has become more challenging. Ensuring everyone stays informed about events, decisions, and opportunities for involvement is key to keeping members engaged. Additionally, as we expand, managing club records efficiently and making newer members feel connected from the start is crucial to building trust and fostering a welcoming environment.

With Phillip’s experience in project management and organizational development, he can bring clear processes that will improve communication, maintain accurate records, and enhance engagement. Phillip is deeply committed to creating a structured and detail-oriented approach that will ensure Front Runner’s remains a place where every member feels they belong and is empowered to participate fully.

I’m excited to bring my skills to help the club thrive, continuing to build a community where everyone feels valued.

  • Adam has been serving on Front Runners Atlanta Board of Directors since 2020, as Secretary and Community Engagement. In his tenure, Adam has collaborated to grow the footprint and collaboration across multiple running organizations, including Atlanta Track Club (US #2 largest running club). Additionally, in his Secretary roll, Adam helped organize Front Runners digital footprint online.

In 2011, Adam earned his Master’s in Mathematics and has been working in Data Science and Analytics since graduation. With his skill set, he keeps the financials well organized and maintained.

  • Julian identifies as a Colombian-born, Atlanta raised, Georgia Tech graduated individual who deeply cares about spaces that are all inclusive of LGBTQ+ persons. Julian currently designs roads and highways as a senior civil engineer at AtkinsRéalis, where he has taken on leadership roles with training and mentoring younger/entry-level engineers and is active member in various professional organizations. Julian’s running journey has been molded by a drastic lifestyle change that was significantly inspired by the inclusivity and warmth he experienced from his very first run with Front Runners Atlanta in spring of 2023 and that has led him to consistently improve his running performance while building meaningful relationships with other Front Runners. For this reason (and others), Julian has been an active volunteer for Pride Run ATL since 2023 and strongly wants to continue doing his best to give back by ensuring current and future members of Front Runners Atlanta have a similar positive, life-changing, inclusive experience.

  • Nick has lived in Atlanta for 4 years and been running with Front Runners Atlanta for the last year. Nick believes he is a good fit for the Front Runners Atlanta board because he is dedicated to fostering welcoming and inclusive environments for all in the run space and has many years of experience in community engagement with his job at Lululemon. Nick’s goals as a board member will be to make sure there are events for everyone, regardless of run pace, body type, age, background, race, sexual orientation, gender identity and anything else that makes us all incredibly unique individuals.

  • Alexander is a proud Atlanta native who, after living in Florida, Arkansas, and New York City, returned to his roots in 2017. With a background as a Stage Manager in the theatre and opera industries, he now works as an Executive Assistant at BCG, where his organizational skills truly shine. In addition to his full-time role, Alexander channels his passion for fitness by teaching indoor cycling at CycleBar East Cobb, where he fosters a supportive and confidence-boosting environment for his clients.  Driven by his love for creating safe and inclusive spaces, Alexander became involved with the Pride Run ATL 5k, working to preserve and celebrate the vibrant Queer community in Atlanta. Just like the LGBTQ+ community, Alexander believes running is an activity where everyone belongs—no matter your speed, distance, or body type. His commitment to inclusivity is at the heart of his decision to become the Pride Run ATL Director with Front Runners Atlanta, where he strives to cultivate a space where every individual can show up as their best self, both on and off the track.  Shine Bright!
